Peter Stolvoort’s family immigrated to the United States when he was nine, and Peter retained the Dutch love of the vibrant colors of nature. Peter graduated from the Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia, where he studied painting, printmaking, and design, and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. His works are primarily done with fluid acrylic paints on extra heavy duck canvas, stretched and gallery wrapped over heavy-duty stretcher bars. The paintings flow over the edges in a contemporary style that does not require framing. His works are in many private collections throughout North America and Europe.
