Paul Henry Devoti arrived in San Juan De Oriente, Nicaragua, as a Peace Corps Volunteer in 1995 and became deeply connected to the local pottery tradition. After returning to the U.S. in 1998, he began promoting Nicaraguan pottery, organizing cultural exchanges and artisan visits. He later built a home and studio in San Juan, founding Atlantis Studio, which blends ancient pottery traditions with contemporary innovations.
