Kevin Liang was born in China into a family of artists, writers, and photographers. After studying Chinese literature at Jinan University and later computer science upon emigrating to New York City in 1982, Kevin decided to devote himself fully to oil painting. Over the past 30 years, Kevin has travelled extensively across the United States to exhibit his art. During his travels, he has painted landscapes, aiming to capture the natural effects of color and light. Kevin paints mainly with a palette knife to create a rough texture on the canvas and convey the movement and emotion of nature. Since 2014, Kevin has experimented with digital art combined with mixed medium, creating a series of colorful paintings that are dye infused into aluminum. Kevin is returning to the Gracie Square Art Show
