Kathy Maher paints streetscapes, landscapes, and still life in oil. Her work seeks to “pluck the viewer from the mundane, racing, and complicated world and transports them to an experience of wonder and quiet exhilaration.” Her work may focus on power lines cutting through the sky, the pattern of asphalt on a city street, layers of graffiti on a building, or rust coloring on a long-forgotten tool, inviting the viewer to experience a moment of beauty.
