Waves, beaches, surf, and even hurricanes are photographer Jonathan Spector’s beat. A native of Long Beach, New York, Jonathan is drawn to photographing rough surf, especially during the winter months. He uses SPL Camera Housing to protect his Canon 1 DX Mark IV and dons a pair of flippers in dangerous currents. We are glad to see Jonathan returning to the Gracie Square Art Show, where he will be exhibiting his surf photography from all over the world. Jonathan also works as a high school counsellor, including on the college application process, which brings him to photograph colleges around the county. Jonathan’s work has won awards at several prominent juried art shows and been published on Eastern Surf and NYSEA.com
