James Rodewald is a freelance nature photographer with decades of experience in many parts of the United States. His work primarily focuses upon the wild areas of the Northeast, with New York's Adirondack region being a frequent topic of study. He started his photographic journey back in the early 1980s with a Nikon FM-2 35-mm film camera and has evolved through various iterations of the Nikon line over the years to their more advanced digital SLRs of today. One of those central themes is a long-term attempt to capture scenes of the natural world seemingly untouched by humanity, nature in its natural state. No easy task in today's world, a principle which in part initiated the founding of Nature's Sake Photography in 2017.
