Born in Uganda, Deo Lutwama is a graduate of Kean University in New Jersey where he majored in interior design – CIDER/FIDER accredited and fine art. Following work as a designer for New York Expo Designs, Deo now works for a non-profit organization for people with developmental disabilities. Through his love of painting as storytelling, his work depicts the daily life, folklore, and wildlife of Africa. His oil, acrylic, and pastel paintings are celebrated with the saturated deep primary colors typical of African art.
