Collin Margerum

Collin Margerum works on wood panels on which he pours equal parts of primary colors and titanium white on the surface and manipulates the pigment with various tools. He then applies a layer of gesso to tone the surface creating negative space to draw. Colin then draws using charcoal, soft pastels, and oil stick, finishing up with an acrylic varnish to seal the piece. His work examines the most contemporary issues facing the human condition.
